Step-by-Step Guide to Managing Tasks and Projects Using the Dashboard Gantt Chart Tool

STEP 1: Click on "Work" to Access Your Dashboard
- Navigate to the left sidebar of the dashboard.
- Locate the "Work" option.
- Click on "Work" to view your tasks and projects.
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection for seamless navigation.
STEP 2: Click on "Projects" to Access Project Overview
- Navigate to the left sidebar and locate the "Projects" option.
- Click on "Projects" to view the project overview.
- Ensure you check the Policy Document Overview and Commission Overview sections for relevant information.
- Proceed to the next step to select the "Project Name."
STEP 3: Select "TaskMaster" Project
- Click on the "TaskMaster" link in the project list to access its details.
- Ensure you are on the Projects page to locate the project.
- The project name is highlighted for easy identification.
- Proceed to the next step to view the Gantt Chart for this project.
STEP 4: Click on "Gantt Chart"
- Navigate to the "Gantt Chart" section by clicking on the highlighted area.
- Ensure you are on the correct project page.
- Review the project timeline and task dependencies displayed in the Gantt chart.
- Prepare to add tasks in the next step by clicking on "Add Task."
STEP 5: Click on "Add Task"
- Navigate to the Gantt Chart section.
- Locate the Add Task button highlighted in red.
- Click on the Add Task button to initiate the task creation process.
- Ensure to fill in all required fields in the subsequent form, particularly those marked with an asterisk (*).
STEP 6: Enter Title for the Task
- Click on the Title field (marked with a red border).
- Enter a descriptive title for your task.
- Ensure the title is concise and relevant to the task at hand.
- This field is mandatory (indicated by the asterisk *).
STEP 7: Click to Add Task Category
- Click on the "Task category" field highlighted in red.
- Select an appropriate category from the dropdown menu.
- Ensure that all required fields marked with an asterisk (*) are filled out.
- Proceed to the next step by selecting "Start Date."
STEP 8: Select Start Date
- Click on the "Start Date" field (marked with an asterisk) to open the date picker.
- Ensure to select a valid start date for the task.
- The selected date will be displayed in the input box.
- Proceed to the next step by selecting the "Due Date" field.
STEP 9: Select Due Date
- Click on the "Due Date" field (marked with an asterisk * for required input).
- Enter the desired due date in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
- Ensure the date is set correctly to avoid any scheduling issues.
- Proceed to the next step by selecting the "Assigned To" employee.
STEP 10: Select "Assigned To" Employee
- Click on the "Assigned To" field in the task form.
- A dropdown will appear, allowing you to select an employee.
- Ensure that you choose the appropriate employee for task assignment.
- The field currently shows "Nothing selected," indicating no employee is assigned yet.
STEP 11: Click on "Description" to Add Task Details
- Locate the "Description" section highlighted in red.
- Click on the area to activate the text editor.
- Enter a detailed description of the task.
- Use formatting options (bold, italics, etc.) as needed.
- Ensure all required fields above are filled before proceeding.
STEP 12: Click on "Other Details" to Expand Additional Task Information
- Locate the "Other Details" link in the task form.
- Click on the link to reveal more options related to the task.
- Ensure all required fields marked with an asterisk (*) are filled out before proceeding.
- Review any additional inputs that may appear after expanding this section.
STEP 13: Click to Add Milestones
- Click on the "Milestones" field in the "Other Details" section.
- Enter the relevant milestone information.
- Ensure to select the appropriate status from the dropdown next to the milestone.
- Review other fields like "Label" and "Priority" as needed.
STEP 14: Select Status
- Click on the "Status" dropdown in the "Other Details" section.
- Choose the appropriate status for your task (e.g., Incomplete).
- Ensure all required fields marked with an asterisk (*) are filled out before proceeding.
- Review other inputs like Priority and Milestones as needed.
STEP 15: Click "Label" to Add Context
- Locate the "Label" section in the "Other Details" form.
- Click on the "Label" field to open the selection options.
- Choose a relevant label from the dropdown or add a new one.
- Ensure the selection aligns with the task context.
- Proceed to the next step by selecting "Priority."
STEP 16: Select "Priority" from the Dropdown
- Click on the "Priority" field to open the dropdown menu.
- Choose the desired priority level (e.g., High, Medium, Low).
- Ensure to review other fields like "Label," "Milestones," and "Status" for completeness.
- Proceed to the next step by clicking on "Add File."
STEP 17: Click on "Add File" to Upload Documents
- Locate the "Add File" section highlighted in red.
- Click on the "Add File" area to open the file selection dialog.
- Choose the file you wish to upload from your device.
- Ensure the file is appropriate for the task requirements before proceeding.
- After selecting, continue to the next step by clicking on the "Save Button."
STEP 18: Click on "Save" to Finalize Your Task
- Ensure all required fields are filled out (marked with *).
- Review the details entered, including Label, Priority, and Status.
- Click the Save button located at the bottom of the form to save your task.
- You can also choose Save & Add More if you wish to create another task.
